The collaboration’s nonpartisan mission is to engage traditionally underrepresented and marginalized communities (people of color, single women, youth, and low-income individuals) in the democratic process to create a more accessible, inclusive, and representative government.
Tribal Equity Toolkit 3.0: Tribal Resolutions and Codes to support Two Spirit & LGBTQ Justice in Indian Country. Chippewa (Ojibwe), Ottawa (Odawa), and Potawatomi (Bodawotomi) make up the three Michigan Tribes known as the Three Fires Council, and these resolutions cover Same Sex marriage, Fostering and Adoption as same sex couples, Identity Documents and name changes and more.
